AUSTRALIAN ABORIGINAL DREAMTIME

I have studied Aboriginal culture at university level in Australia, and work closely with Aboriginal storytellers, painters, and dancers.
My presentation includes:

Storytelling
From reputedly the oldest lineage of oral tradition on earth, dating back over 130,000 years.

Art
Teachers and students alike will be thrilled to learn what the many “secret” symbols in Australian Aboriginal paintings actually mean, as I use them to plot out the story they have been told. Very hands-on, with participants creating their own Dreamtime-style paintings.

Dance
Authentic Australian Aboriginal Kangaroo & Emu dances

Exhibition
Colour A4 photographs of Aboriginal people, showing a diverse range of images such as Aboriginal children, elderly men in ceremonial body paint, the Australian landscape, and examples of Aboriginal art.

Poetry Workshop
Using the stories and the exhibition to inspire children to write creatively on this theme.
